Tafraoute – Eating

In addition to the hotels (of which the Tanger, the Tafraout and the Salama all have reasonable restaurants, the range offering a vegetarian tajine among other dishes), there are a few restaurants in the town:

Cafe-Restaurant Etoile d’Agadir. A great little place, serving classic tajines (lamb with prunes and almonds, chicken with lemon and olives) and other Moroccan dishes, all delicious and beautifully presented. Daily 8am-6pm. Cheap.

Tafraoute Restaurant

Restaurant l’Etoile du Sud. A set-menu restaurant serving delicious Moroccan food, either indoors or outside in a Bedouin-style tent, with an occasional cabaret and floor show for tour groups. Daily 8.30am-10pm. Moderate.

Restaurant Marrakech. A family-run place with excellent-value meals (40dh set menu) and friendly service. The couscous here is particularly good. Daily 8am-10pm. Cheap.
