Sidi Ifni – Accomodations

Finding accommodation is easy enough, with seven hotels, all moderately priced. Of the two campsites, Camping Sidi Ifni, Avenue Sidi Mohammed (065 66 41 81), is rather spartan with little shade, and can get rather crowded (in fact, it’s often full), and Camping et Barco, Rue de la Plage (048 78 07 07), similarly shadeless, slightly pricier, and not tremendously secure, but right on the beach.

Sidi Ifni Hotels

Hotel A’it Ba Hamram Rue de la Plage – at the bottom of the steps 048 78 02 17. The town’s best hotel, by the beach, with pristine en-suite rooms, a restaurant and a good bar.

Hotel Bellevue Place Hassan II 048 87 50 72, 048 78 04 99. Good value, with four categories of rooms, sweeping views over the beach, a noisy bar and a restaurant.

Hotel Ere Nouvelle Av Sidi Mohammed Abdallah 048 87 52 98. The best of the four cheap hotels in the main part of town, with friendly staff and clean rooms, though not all have outside windows.

Hotel Houria (aka Hotel Libert8) 9 Rue Mohammed el Kauzir, off Av Mohammed V 070 523836

Hotellfni Av Mohammed V 048 875807

Hotel Wejan 119 Rue Mohammed el Kauzir

A trio of small, basic hotels very close to each other, and all catering mainly for a Moroccan clientele. Prices are similar to those at the Ere Nouvelle, for which these can be considered as fall-back alternative options.

Hotel Suerte Loca Rue Moulay Youssef 048 87 5350, 048 78 00 03. A characterful place – the name (“Crazy Luck”) and a bodega-style bar (not licensed) reveal its small-town Spanish origins which has been renovated and is run by a very welcoming (and English-speaking) family. It has cheap rooms in the old Spanish wing, slightly pricier en-suite ones in a new wing, and is deservedly popular. It also has a good cafe-restaurant and a terrace overlooking the town and sea.
